HOW TO PLAY

1. Adopt your first dragon in the Hatchery! 
2. Tap on a dragon to feed or check in with it. 
3. Explore other systems like "Market" and "Retreat".

ABOUT

In my opinion, the core of celebration is community. That's why, for this monthlong game jam, I built a dragon colony simulator where it's the player's job to help a misfit species rebuild a new home. Players get rewarded for taking care of their dragons and helping their colony grow. One of my favorite features I built was the "Retreat" system where any two dragons can be paired up for an event to occur--  like hunting together to get food and also mating.  In most creature collection games, you have to have a male and female creature to mate, but I liked doing something different for this game to have any 2 dragons be able to interact and have something wonderful happen together. 

TIPS

• Dragons are a diverse species! Adopt dragons in the Hatchery to find the 30 different types and 15 personality quirks.
• Tap on any of your dragons to activate the "Dragon Cam"! 
• Double click anywhere else on screen to easily reset the camera.
• Unlock the "Retreat" feature when your dragon colony reaches a population of at least 4. In retreats, any two selected dragons can interact with each other! Sometimes, the dragons will adventure together and hunt food they'll bring back, and in rare cases, they may even mate!
